TYPES OF DOCUMENTS

Certificate of Export

You will need a Certificate of Export Apostilled if you will be exporting goods from the United States of America to a foreign country and have been asked to certify and legalize your documents through the Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy Office. Many Hague Countries request this certification including Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Vietnam, and Yemen. The Certificate of Export is one of the primary documents used by Customs and its; authorities. When a Commercial Invoice is used in a foreign trade, a Certificate of Export becomes a Customs Document. It is established by the exporter (individual or business) who is exporting the goods across international borders as a Customs Declaration. The Certificate of Export outlines the details of the parties involved in the business transaction. Since this is one of the primary documents used by Customs it is essential that the invoice is prepared properly. Each Commercial Invoice must include:
  • Be written on official letterhead of the company doing the exporting
  • The parties involved in the transaction
  • An itemized list of goods being exported (including quantities and prices)
  • The country of origin for each item
  • The Harmonized System Number for those goods
  • A statement certifying that the invoice is true
  • A signature and dated by the exporter
Some territories and countries will require:
  • For legalization
  • Certificate of Orgin
  • Your company to be a member of the local Chamber of Commerce
  • Have your Certificate of Export sealed by the Chamber of Commerce
Before a Certificate of Export can receive the State Apostille, it must be signed and notarized. The signer of the Certificate of Export must physically appear before a Notary Public. Once notarized, the document can then be mailed to us for processing. A Certificate of Export can only be Apostilled in the State the document was signed and notarized in. Once the original English Certificate of Export is properly prepared you can mail it to us to be Apostilled. We can also provide Certified Translation Services into the language required by the Country of Designation. Here at Ezra Notary and Apostille,
